Beneath the Surface

30 years ago, our founder, Sarah Jayne Brown made the move from chilly London to sunny Fort Lauderdale to learn to SCUBA dive. Partnering with her brother Matt, they opened Ocean Promotion Scuba. Children watched her teach her lessons and through their fascination, a spark in Sarah was ignited to create a monumental program for children to connect with the ocean.

Funky Fish Ocean Camp opened in 1994, Awarded as one of the ‘Top Children’s Program in the World’ by Travel and Leisure Magazine and has been ‘creating oceans of smiles’ for children all over the world ever since.
