A Day in the life of a Funky Fish
Geared towards children aged 4-17 and a ratio of 1 Instructor – 7 children, we keep the size of our program small and the experiences big.
Kicking the day off with high-energy introductions, creating connections and forming friendships from the start. Our CPR certified Instructors build bonds and cultivate curiosity with the children by getting to know them and sharing funky ocean facts.
An extraordinary day filled with snorkeling, boogie boarding, skim boarding, eco-art and oceanology. Minimum of 4 children to run and 48 hours advance booking. Read below for more details …

The Experience
Snorkeling
Whether your child is new to the water or an expert swimmer, we recognize their comfort level and take them beyond it. The Funky Fish Formula provides professional snorkeling lessons that begin in the resort pool. Excited and confident, we buddy up and head to the resort beach to snorkel in the shallow ocean. Searching for fish and hunting for shells allows their pool practice to come full-circle. Snorkeling synergy skills that will serve these Funky Fish for a lifetime!
Eco-Art
Time to tie-dye one of our ‘famous’ Funky Fish t-shirts, create hemp surfer jewelry, or design a repurposed eco-ocean inspired take-home memento.
Skim Boarding
Surf the Shoreline! At the core of the guided skim board lesson, the children are motivated to see challenge as a positive experience. Through Funky Fish tactics and techniques, we teach the tools to achieve balance, build stamina and the foundation for gliding along the sparkling sands.
Lunch & Oceanology
Funky Fish get hungry too! Lunch is included. Customized Funky Fish menus available at each resort.
Dedicated ‘Oceanology’ time allows the children to work together as a team, participate in beach cleanups, ask questions, and interact with the Funky Fish Oceanology Board. We expand their knowledge, discover fun ways to protect the environment, and instill a love for the ocean.
Boogie Boarding
Engage with the wave! Know when to ride by learning skillful timing, practicing patience, boogie board theory and simple sand stretches. These unique Funky Fish components teach the children to confidently catch the waves and connect with the ocean.
